1939 Chevrolet Master 85 Cop Car Added in Ohio
1939 Chevrolet Master 85 Police Car Now Available
Productions searching for authentic period law enforcement vehicles just gained a strong new option. The 1939 Chevrolet Master 85 2-door sedan has been added to the Cop Car Rental network in Ohio, ready for film, television, and commercial work that needs a genuine pre-war patrol car.
Spotlight on the Vehicle
This two-door sedan carries the classic lines of late-1930s Chevrolet design, finished in a period-appropriate black scheme with correct law-enforcement markings. The car retains its original body proportions and chrome details, giving camera crews clean vintage lines without modern distractions. Inside, the cabin reflects the era with bench seating and simple instrumentation that reads correctly on screen.
Practical production features include working headlamps and taillights, a roof-mounted period-style siren housing, and clear sightlines for interior dialogue scenes. The vehicle has been maintained to a camera-ready standard, minimizing the need for additional set dressing.
Cop Car Rental Network for Picture Cars
Through the established connection between copcarauction.com and USA Movie Cars, this Chevrolet joins a growing selection of law-enforcement vehicles available for rent. Location managers and picture car coordinators can source authentic patrol cars, sheriff units, and tactical vehicles without leaving the rental ecosystem they already trust.
Brief History of the Model
The Chevrolet Master 85 was built during a time when many municipal police departments were transitioning from older Fords and Dodges to more affordable Chevrolet platforms. Its six-cylinder engine and durable chassis made it a practical choice for departments that needed reliable transportation on limited budgets. Today, surviving examples like this one offer productions an accurate representation of 1930s policing that is difficult to replicate with newer vehicles.
Film, TV, and Event Uses
The 1939 Chevrolet works equally well in period dramas, true-crime recreations, and automotive commercials that reference early law enforcement. Its compact size also makes it suitable for music videos and still photography shoots where space is limited. Event planners have used similar vintage patrol cars for corporate functions and charity galas that want a striking photo backdrop.
